At Rocky Harrison Paving, we prefer using a Gilsonite sealcoating. Gilsonite is more expensive, but is well worth the extra cost. Please do not confuse our sealcoating with those other emulsion type sealers found in hardware stores and home improvement centers. Unlike emulsion sealers, our sealer is not a water based seal coating. Because of their water content, they can expand and contract  according to temperature which could easily lead to cracking. Emulsion sealers merely lay on top of the pavement as a cosmetic cover up. Our premium product is made of the material that makes up blacktop. It penetrates the pavement helping to restore what time and weather has depleted.
